Tracklist/Description: With over a decade of experience behind the decks, Gaston Volpe has developed a sound shaped by time spent between Buenos Aires and Berlin. His productions have appeared on labels such as a.r.t.less, Dolly, Sungate, SEVEN, and Mitsubasa, combining dubbed chords with tribal and Latin percussion.
In Berlin, he has become a regular presence on the club circuit. Performances include Tresor, Berghain, RSO, Panorama Bar and Globus, where he has presented both live sets and DJ sets that highlight a soulful, carefully curated approach.
Alongside his work as a DJ and producer, he runs the label Transcend. The imprint focuses on timeless music that moves between different styles and eras.
This mix was recorded with a hybrid setup using one turntable and two CDJs, drawing on recent record purchases to keep the feel direct and human. While his usual sound leans toward dubbier house with garage and New York/Detroit influences, this set takes a deeper and more relaxed route through deep house, tribal rhythms and understated tech house. The mood aims to reflect the first sunny afternoons in Berlin, balancing introspection and depth with a quiet sense of joy for the warmer days ahead.
