2012 is almost behind us and 2013 is here in a very few days so it's right time to make short recap of best 10 DJ mixes of 2012 - DJ sets that have remained in my memory more than others. I have posted more than 750 mixes from the beginning of 2012, mostly posted in dnb and deep house.
It is almost impossible to pick only 10 best mixes out of so many quality stuff but here it is, a list of Top 10 DJ sets of 2012:

1.) Skream vs Disclosure - Boiler Room DJ Set (14-Nov-2012) - definitely the most successful set of this year on doddiblog in terms of pageviews. Those of you who have somehow missed it - it's a must see (and listen of course)! It has more than 220.000 views on youtube and still counting.

2.) Tom Middleton live @ Nuestra Casa Boat Party, London (16-Jun-2012) - my probably most played mix this year. Top class mix played by one of the biggest electronic music legend. If deep house is your cup of tea don't forget to check out also his Deep Bass House DJ Mix.
3.) Pulsaar - Kmag Guest Mix (16-Apr-2012) - intelligent drum and bass presented by Pulsaar from Switzerland, one of the best dnb mix of 2012.

4.) Rowpieces - Submission DJ Mix (March 2012) - together with Pulsaar the most interesting newcomers of intelligent atmospheric dnb. Great mix from start to finish.

5.) Vincenzo live @ Push, Volar, Hong Kong (27-Jul-2012) - fixed star on doddiblog, I post his sets from the beginning of my blog - there are more than of 20 Vincenzo's mixes on doddiblog.
6.) Tornado Wallace & Francis Inferno Orchestra - Pulse Radio Podcast 104 (10-Dec-2012) - it really have to be a special mix when two of the best Australian deep house producers team up together.

7.) Shifter - SweetCup @ NuSpirit Bar (27-Feb-2012) - excellent deep house mix by Slovakian DJ Shifter which were posted as part of his four mixes which are all of high quality (it's the very first DJ set listed on the page).
8.) Dairmount & Nowakowski - Room With A View's Monthly Show (October 2012) - both are perfect deep house mixes. Dairmount delivers nice showcase of Room With A View label.
9.) Deetron - Essential Mix (17-Nov-2012) - probably the best BBC Radio Essential mix of 2012 together with Dusky's mix.
10.) Alexus - Soulful D&B Podcast (July 2012) - it's always a pleasure to listen to mellow dnb mixes by Alexus.

And that's it! The list could go on and on because there were tons of great mixes this year. Hopefully 2013 will be almost as good for new mixes as this year was.

I thought it would be useful for the people who don't visit doddiblog too frequently to pick few best mixes of every month. Not everybody have time to listen to each mix I have posted during the month so hopefuly this short list of Top 8 Mixes of the month will be valuable for somebody. The list consists of the music I had in heavy rotation during whole October.

Top class deep house mixes delivered by Nowakowski and Dairmount for the Room With A View's Monthly Show. Especially Dairmount's mix presenting just releases of Room With A View label is brilliant!
02) Technimatic - UKF Music Podcast #26 (27-Sep-2012)
The UK duo Technicolour and Komatic always guarantee the best dnb quality. No more words needed.
03) Flowrian - Low Gravity Radio @ Bassdrive (21-Sep-2012)
In my opinion currently one of the best show which is aired on Bassdrive radio - Low Gravity Radio hosted by Flowrian from Switzerland. If your into quality atmospheric dnb & smooth liquid dnb vibes this one is definitely for you.
04) Velocity - Submission DJ Mix (20-Oct-2012)
Probably the best dnb mix of October 2012. I love Velocity's sets full of smooth liquid vibes.
05) Montel - DJ Mix (27-Oct-2012)
Probably the biggest surprise, quite unknown name for me. Quality deep house tunes all over the mix mixed by Montel.
06) Dusky - Essential Mix @ BBC Radio One (13-Oct-2012)
Now something for the bass music / future garage fans - Dusky and their mix for the legendary Essential Mix on BBC Radio One.
07) Manouvre - In session DJ Set (September 2012)
One more mix for bass music / future garage fans by another new name for me - Manouvre. The mix full of top class producers like Disclosure, Kyodai, Joy Orbison, Midland and many more...
08) Methodus - Revival Radio @ Bassdrive (14-Oct-2012)
Fixed star of doddiblog - I have been posting his mixes for quite long time. Always a guarantee of the freshest tracks in dnb.

Latest feature mix for Compost Black Label Sessions Radio by the mighty deep house legend from San Francisco - Fred Everything. There are tons of mixes by this turntable maestro on doddiblog with hopefuly more and more sets to come in the future.

A long time ago I was thinking it would be great to have my own podcast, something I could host guest mixes of my favorite DJs, especially for doddiblog. Today is the day when this idea becomes a reality and I'm really happy for it! It won't have regular periodicity, so next episode could be in a week or two, maybe in a month or two. We will see...
My first guest mix is by Eric Scholwinski from Dallas, Texas, USA. I'm really glad he agreed to do mix for me because I know his work for quite long time (the first mix is dated 2007) and we share very similar taste for quality deep house music. Hope you'll enjoy this excellent mix just like me.

Eric has become a House Hold name in Dallas / Fort Worth area of Texas as a DJ, He is known for his signature style of Deep, Moody and Edgy House Music. He also Managed a local Record store located in Fort Worth and in Dallas called R-Type Records.


While Playing across the US and for some of House Music Premier DJ's, He has also contributed greatly to his local scene By bringing in new up-and-coming talent at his weekly residency: “Got House?” at Pharmacy and Minc Lounge on Sunday’s. Eric also holds a Monthly called "Lunar Tunes" at Zubar with Partner In Crime JV as well as Monthly at Absinthe Lounge called "Vibe".
